We are pleased to announce that we are continuing to operate under the Governor’s Full Phase 1 Guidelines. We are now open Thursday – Sunday from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm. And we will be open for Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. What you can expect when visiting the Jungle Gardens are clean facilities, frequently sanitized commonly touched areas and restrooms, many hand sanitizer stations throughout the park, announcements and signage reminding folks about Social Distancing, capacity limited to 50% in the park, in our gift shop and cafe at any one time. We prefer admission purchases are made through our website https://sarasotajunglegardens.com/tickets-annual-passes/ to provide limited contact transactions. We also have reduced seating availability at our shows. Our playground and the petting zoo is currently closed and we are also encouraging face masks but not requiring them. Our employees are checked twice daily for elevated temperatures or other signs of sickness. Sick employees will not be allowed to work until cleared by a medical professional.
We are also pleased to welcome our zoo campers starting June 1. They will be at the Gardens for 3 days a week while it’s closed to the public. We will be reasonably enforcing social distance between students and we have significantly decreased our capacity. We are only allowing 15 children per week and will have a 1 – 5 counselor to camper ratio with more outdoor activities.
We are doing our very best to mitigate any spread of illness. However, it is a personal or parental decision whether or not a guest, camper or employee chooses to visit or work.
We continue to ask for your support by volunteering, visiting and donating. The next few months will be critical for the continued success of the Jungle Gardens.
